We are delighted to have once again been featured in iNews, in another story by Aasmah Day about PIP benefits and the proposed changes outlined in the recent Green Paper, which, if approved, are set to affect millions—including Linda, who fears losing her home if her PIP award is cut.

This is yet another example of how countless people could be impacted by these changes if they are implemented next month.

As she has done on several occasions, Aasmah reached out to Fightback to ask for Michelle’s insights—not only on Linda’s case, but also on many others who have contacted us since the proposals were announced back in March.

Michelle commented:

“Linda’s worries are very real, and under the new proposed rules, she may not qualify for the daily living component of PIP.

As a result, she could see a dramatic decline in her household finances and health. Linda is sadly one of many concerned claimants who have contacted our Fightback team since the dramatic announcement was made.

Linda has worked all her life and has only recently retired. She is at an age and time in her life when she is too unwell and in pain to continue working.”
