About Fightback4Justice

Founded in 2013, Fightback4Justice is an award winning, non-profit organisation, providing specialised, expert advice and help on various welfare benefit claims; from advocacy and representation at court to guidance with forms for PIP, ESA, DLA & UC. Although based in Bury we offer comprehensive nationwide support, both face to face and through our email and phone advice line.

In the last few years our success has been so astronomical (we have a 90.9% success rate across all cases) our small but dedicated team are consistently inundated with hundreds of emails and calls to wade through; and as we rely entirely on donations, we have been stretched extremely thin. With this in mind, we launched our Fightback4Justice VIP Platform with the aim of helping as many people as we can.

Our aim with the VIP Platform is to provide you with all the tools you need to process a claim to the highest possible standard. Our resources and services will be available to you every step of the way from the Application Stage to the Upper Tier tribunal. Once you are VIP Member, you’ll have access to our extensive range of Information Factsheets, Completed Example Forms, Template Letters, Document Review Service and Assessment Preparation Service.

On top of this vast library of information and services, our VIP members have access to the VIP Email and Phone service where we guarantee a priority response, allowing you to talk direct to people in the know and get the help you need. To become a VIP Member, please click Join Now.

Coverage In The Media

As a trusted and established name, Fightback has always been a go to source of information for many media outlets on topics such as Welfare Benefits. On many occasions, we have provided assistance to local and national news outlets such a ITV and the BBC.

Towards the end of last year, we were delighted to take part in a report for ITV which aimed to highlight the flaws in our current benefit system. The ITV film crew spent the morning in our offices where they interviewed a number of our past clients and team members. Here is the official video from our recent coverage on ITV Granada Reports. Once again we would like to say a massive thanks to Matt and the Granada Reports team for once again contacting us for assistance when creating their reports on the errors in the welfare benefits system.

UPDATE JULY 2020 – Jenny, The lady featured at the start of this feature came to sign up for our services on that day. This month we successfully advocated in her appeal and we are pleased to report her daughter has won enhanced mobility and standard daily living with our support. We are still to hear about the other gentleman featured in the video.

Fightback Featured In The Mail Online

In the most recent budget, Rishi Sunak announced a reduction from 63p in the pound to 55p in the universal credit taper rate – the amount in benefits a claimant loses for each pound they earn above a set work allowance. The move was intended to compensate for the withdrawal of the £20-a-week uplift which was introduced during the pandemic. Shortly after the announcement, we were contacted by Katie Feehan from the Mail Online for our comments on the changes.

When speaking to Kaite, Michelle commented that ‘This is a budget for the those who are non-disabled or not caring for someone. It is again ignoring people on disability benefits who are unable to work full time. The government don’t care about disabled people and we see this daily in our work at Fightback4justice. One lady told us she felt like a non-person, someone who is glazed over and forgotten about. It’s dehumanising and shameful.’

ITV At Fightback HQ

We were thrilled to once again be asked to assist ITV News with a report which highlighted the issues faced by claimants when making welfare benefits claims and in particular PIP claims. We would like to thank Andy Bonner and the ITV team for inviting us to be part of their coverage and for continuing to shed light on the difficulties that people with disabilities can often face when processing a claim.

Fightback In The Bury Times

This week we have been contacted by Joe Harrigan for a comment in his report on benefits and terminally ill claimants. Michelle commented that ‘It just shows the system is not working, there’s no checks and balances at all, they assessors do not know who has appealed so someone could be writing damningly wrong assessments over and over again and they wouldn’t know’ You can read the full report HERE.

Hi all you lovely Angels!! Just a quick update for you!I first had your help in 2022 with my Pip appeal. I’d got 4 mobility and 7 daily, which was under for any award. We won, easily I might add!! The judge said the submission by Sonya was a huge help. They gave me std daily without discussing and after 30 mins of chatting, honestly about my conditions they awarded me higher mobility.I got a 3 year award bit it took nearly 2 of those to get any award. I got my renewal in Aug last year for expiry in April 24. This was extended to April 25. I was getting ready to get you on board for the next stage after the lovely Amy filled my renewal in for me but today I got the magic text! Saying your review is completed! No assessment!! So I called and spoke to a nice chap who confirmed same award and until Dec 2027!! I’m beyond overjoyed!! Thanks to you angels for the time in a decade I can breathe a bit easier knowing I can now use all that energy invested in fighting for what im entitled too, into trying to get better. Please forward me your wishlist as I’d like to show my appreciation, again. You’re amazing!! Feel free to use as a review. I recommend you to everyone I come across. X

Hello Lovely people!I wanted to share my feedback to you.Lucy filled my pip review on May last year and then 2 months ago I was notified that I needed to have an assessment, I used your advocate Karen who was in the call with me and my wife and she was very supportive.I today received the decision from the DWP and they have awarded me higher on both components.Previously I had higher component and low component and I am on higher component for both of them until 2027!Thank you all for your service and thank you so much to Lucy and Karen for all the support! Please share this feedback if you wish xx

I want to share my very successful PIP tribunal result with you using fightback4justice. I have a disability but using the right words to claim PIP was proving difficult, even failing with the Mandatory Reconsideration. Fightback4justice and their legal knowledge were able to do this for me at a tribunal. I paid for their VIP service and paid for them to support me at the appeal. It was worth every single penny. If you’re reading this and wondering if you should use fightback4justice – definitely do it! Without them I would have failed again to get the PIP and I’m more than happy to recommend them, knowing that they could help you too.

I had my PIP tribunal this morning and had Melanie support me as an advocate at the hearing. I’ve been fighting my decision since May 2023 and am so relieved it’s now over and I can stop thinking and worrying about it. I only needed 1 point to get a standard rate award and it was agreed between the judge and DWP representative that the 1 point for getting in and out the bath ( which I can’t do ) be awarded as stated in the court submission paper which Sonia did for me. I got awarded standard rate PIP for 3 years… I didn’t have to answer any questions at the hearing, all I said was Hello, I can hear you and good-bye. Thank you Melanie for your support and to Sonia for doing my submission paper and to everyone at fightback who have helped me over the past year with my MR and appeal, I’m just sorry I didn’t use you at the beginning when I filled in my PIP form myself. But I know for next time.. I will of course make a donation when my back payment comes through. Thank you… You truly are all stars in my eyes.

I used the VIP form library to fill out my partner’s Capability for work form and we got advice on the assessment from Sonya. With your help we got a letter today confirming ESA support group. A massive relief. I would totally recommend becoming a VIP member if you have to apply for benefits. It is invaluable and supports a worthy cause. Thank you Fightback

Fantastic organisation and would like to thank Fightback and especially Chloe for helping with a recent PIP review. Used their advocacy service in 2018 and Karen attended the f2f assessment. Contacted them 2021 to use the form filling service. Highly recommend this option as it helps alleviate the anxiety and stress of trying to fill out this form.No f2f this time, just a quick call from assessor to clarify a couple of points. Daughter has just been awarded higher rate on both, this time ongoing with a review 2032. Such a relief when the letter arrived, we both cried.Am convinced having Fightback fill out forms helped with the award. Definitely recommend 100%.

I used Fightback 3 years ago to help me with the transition of DLA To PIP.I ended up losing my car . With help from Michelle and Chloe the decision was overturned by the court. If it wasn’t for Fightback I would have thrown the towel in and just accepted what I had. They are a fantastic support throughout the whole stressful process. This year I had to send in a review for PIP. This time Sonya filled in the form over the phone. I was awarded the same enhanced rate on both without the need for assessment, and for 4 years this time. And thankfully I only had to wait 3 weeks to get the decision.I will definitely be back for more help when I have another review. Thanks for all your expertise and help throughout the whole process.Mike.

I was recommended the services of fight back from a family member, after running into a brickwall with a claim for PIP. I am so glad that we followed the recommendation. The staff are lovely, helpful, reassuring and efficient. They took us through the whole mandatory reconsideration, and tribunal application process giving us peace of mind in a very important area of our lives, during a time of great upheaval. I cannot praise them enough for the work they do all on a non profit basis. I was more than happy to pay forward and a little extra when the reconsideration was settled. I wish them all the best and would recommend them to anyone needing help dealing with the minefield of DWP.

Fightback done my MR for me as in assessment I lost 4 points on mobility which I had been given previously. With the fantastic letter that was produced on my behalf I went from low rate mobility to high rate getting an extra 10 points instead of the 4 requested. Fightback are brilliant without them I would not have got this result. Thank you very much. I will send a donation so that you can continue to help others in need.Donna Phillips

The help and support from this team has been tremendous. They have kept hope alive throughout the long months of waiting for a Tribunal Hearing, through a last minute cancelled Court Hearing and then a very successful Telephone conference at home.As a family we fully endorse the professional attitude and competence of Fightback4Justice (Advocacy for Disabled People)The information platform is amazing. Everything in one place and not too expensive, and when your whole life is turned upside down by very poor decisions made by strangers, who often cannot see the wood for the trees, the help and support given by the members of the Fightback team is priceless.

Our experience of Fightback is 100% positive. From online chats and telephone conversations with the professional team, to using the extensive and brilliant document vault and getting online help with our MR claim, the quality of the advice and level of service was fantastic. We were far better equipped to deal with the issue we had thanks to the support and guidance of the Fightback team. We can only give them a 100% rating, we would give more if it was possible. Thank you Fightback!

Fightback helped me get my PIP back when it was stopped. The team kept in contact throughout the process and were quick to reassure me when things went wrong. They were also great at gendering me correctly (I’m trans and my documentation was a total mix of genders so I’d understand any confusion). Honestly can’t thank Michelle and the Fightback team enough!

This is the second time I’ve used this wonderful charity. Both times with much success. The team is very busy which of course can be tricky at times but if you can be understanding of that then you will be really helped. They know exactly what they are doing and using them takes away a lot of stress and difficulty. Traversing all the legislation of PIP is tough but this amazing team knows it well. A couple of pieces of advice, sign up to the VIP section firstly as you will be able to be in easier contact with the team. I then personally use them to fill out the paperwork for me. For me it’s a lot less stressful and exhausting for my brain. And finally get as much good medical evidence as you can to back up your claim. I honestly can’t thank the team enough for all their help once more. They deserve all the accolades that they get.

Absolutely amazing! Help me with my appeal, advised me on what evidence to send, on what to expect at the hearing. Michelle completed my submission and another lovely lady (I’m really sorry I’ve completely forgot your name) came with me to my appeal and supported me throughout! And to end it all I got my decision a few days later and I have won my appeal getting standard mobility added to my award! Thank you so much for the help.

Absolutely brilliant service! My autistic, adult son was turned down for PIP when he was assessed for a changeover from DLA. He has multiple issues as well as autism & we didn’t know where to turn as he clearly needs a lot of support. Someone recommended Fightback4justice to me so I contacted them. They were able to give us an appointment within a few days & completed all the paperwork for us to appeal against the decision. The staff we met were wonderful and made the form filling process easy for my son. He has now been awarded PIP without going to court which is fantastic. People like my son have enough problems coping with everyday life without the added stress & anxiety of losing essential benefits. Thank you for providing this service. I don’t know what we would have done without you.

This is an incredible service. I am more than able to complete forms but the expertise of this service to be able to extract truthful information from you and word it in a clear precise way makes an amazing difference. I also used the service of the solicitor to attend in this instance a home visit for the interview. This gives you reassurance and I am sure makes PIP aware youv are serious. The cost is less than a months PIP money and was an excellent investment. I genuinely can not recommend them enough. A well worth while process and I personally would say unwise not to use their fantastic service.

I wanted to thank you for the vault documents, they have been such a life saver to me recently when my DLA changed to PIP and I had to make a new claim. I used the documents in the vault to help me complete my PIP form. I asked for extra time because filling the form in was slow going and then when I was asked to go for an assessment I followed the guidelines on your VIP vault. On Saturday I received a letter confirming that I had been awarded PIP. Just knowing that fightback4justice had my back if it all went wrong filled me with confidence. Keep up the amazing work.

I signed up to the VIP service for advice after a failed assessment. The advice given was great and helped to prepare a Mandatory Reconsideration which the VIP service checked and as a result my MR was accepted and awarded. I definitely would recommend this service to anyone who is having difficulty with navigating a very difficult DWP system. I wish I had signed up in the beginning of the application as it would have saved me a lot of time. Great service, many thanks.

I cannot recommend the Fightback team highly enough. After a previous reassessment took my health apart I decided to ask Fightback4Justice for assistance right from the start this time. In the first instance I used the form filling service and Amy helped me fill in my review form. It made all the difference to have someone with the knowledge that was needed and the ability to reassure me that everything that could be done at this stage had been done. Unfortunately it did go to assessment and the award was lowered which is all too common so I chose to use the VIP2 level access and also have Fightback prepare my Mandatory Reconsideration. I couldn’t possibly have continued without the help I received from all the team at Fightback. Katie prepared my MR and we were successful at getting my enhanced rate back on daily living. The best part was my award was doubled in length which goes a long way towards hopefully halting the decline in my health caused by the very system that was meant to be supporting it. I would list every team member but I wouldn’t like to miss anyone out as all the way through every single one has responded to my garbled panicked messages , emails and phone calls with compassion , calm reassurance and the knowledge I needed. My only advice to anyone negotiating the Benefits system is to contact Fightback4Justice.

Hi Fight back I just wanted to say the biggest thank you to you and your team especially Amy who did my Pip review In August. It’s only been just over two weeks I have received the brown envelope. Without a face to face I remain on enhanced care and enhanced mobility for ongoing period of 10 years. I can’t thank you enough you helped me last year with my ESA contribution based review and again i didn’t have to have a face to face and I remained in the support group with 3 years till August 2021. With regards to my PIP review you advised me to take photos of all the aids I have to use which my daughter did for me. Your advice and form filling is 5 star rating I couldn’t have done this without you and most of all it was all done stress free. Again thank you all for all your hard work you do for disabled people like me you are truly a God send and God bless you all x

I never leave reviews but I’ve received so much help from Fightback on the chat line, the phone and VIP email. I’ve amazed at the level of support I’ve received. I typed my own forms and got them reviewed by Fightback and it was a real eye opener, I was given so much advice. It has literally been a life saver. I couldn’t have coped without them. It’s so reassuring to know that someone who really cares is at the end of the phone and wants to help. Thank you.

Used there information when completing my forms for the transition from DLA to pips. Also used the chat facility and had a phone call prior to my home assessment. All of those I was in communication with, gave me excellent help and information, which helped to ease the stress. Haven’t been notified about any awards yet, but if it goes against me will use fightback to appeal. Will keep my VIP membership going and plan to send them a donation as they are purely voluntary and provide such an excellent service.

An amazing service. I used the VIP service when I received my PIP forms. I could not have managed without this wonderful service. The online service is packed with information and help. I also bookedFor one of the team to come to the assessment with me (there was a fee for this which was more than well worth it). I cannot thank this team enough for the help and support. It is a worrying and stressful time For most people but the Fightback Team are so supportive. I will definitely be keeping my VIP membershipGoing as I know this Team relies on donations to keep on continuing their work. Thank you.

Thank you for all the help and support you have given me with my DLA to PIP application and assessment. I particularly want to thank Chloe for doing such a great job filling out my application form, and Karen, who attended my assessment, giving me the confidence to cope with the experience – she is truly wonderful. The service you provide is invaluable, and I really don’t think I could have done this without you. It is such a relief to know there are people as fantastic as you out there who can help us achieve the results we need to help us live with dignity and comfort. Thank you so much.

I would like to thank Fightback for all there help following my review for PIP in which my daily living activity was reduced to standard instead of enhanced. I am a VIP 2 member and using the fantastic resources was able to to complete my review form also knowing that help was available to me at any time. I also used the resources to complete my Mandatory Reconsideration and had my information checked by Fightback and used the advice given. Following the decrease in my award they supported me in filling in my appeal form when I was actually wondering whether to bother due to the stress. I am pleased to say that following a phone call from an appeals manager at the DWP my award of enhanced daily living has been reinstated so I no longer have to go to appeal which is a weight off my mind. Fightback has been there for support at all stages and I thoroughly recommend the services they offer.

5 star experience again. Filled out my son’s DLA form by phone with Michelle, almost 2hour ‘phone call going into great detail about his difficulties. He was awarded & I am so relieved. The forms are long and generally quite depressing to complete but Fightback provide a wonderful service which makes it so much easier. By signing up to VIP you can access a wealth of information if you prefer to complete forms yourself. Their success rate speaks for itself, I would not hesitate to recommend these guys.

Fightback are nothing short of amazing. The work that they put into fighting to get what people rightly deserve is incredible. No wonder they are award finalists. To say they are going strong with not 1p of funding speaks volumes. The negative feedback recently received is not called for. It is damn right spiteful. The fact that someone is clearly out to damage their reputation and somehow trying to hinder the good work they do is criminal and nothing short of pure jealousy. Keep doing what you do best and ignore the trolls. You don’t have over 50,000 supporters for nothing ❤️❤️❤️

I have used Fightback for many years now and I have recommended them to so many people I have lost count they are amazing. I think we have all experienced that feeling of complete and utter despair when the dreaded brown envelope drops through the door the not wanting to open it followed by sheer panic. One phone call to Fightback and you know that you could not of chosen anyone better. Their knowledge of the benefit system is second to none and with their understanding, empathy and gentle questioning you are guaranteed the best possible outcome in a system that aims to fail you at the first hurdle. Do not be misled by the fake reviews that aim to blacken the name of Fightback4Justice. Fightback are the true Angels of the North!!

Review for Fightback Facebook Page -PIP Renewal Form Filling in with AmyDate of appointment: 27/07/2018 I would like to say a huge thank you to Amy and Fightback with all the help that they offered to me back in July this year with my PIP renewal paperwork. In May 2017 I was awarded PIP Enhanced Daily Living Needs for 2 years. My renewal came through in July 2018.I suffer from severe anxiety, depression, PTSD and have Disordered Eating. When the renewal came through, I completely lost it and was so scared that I would lose my benefit. People had mentioned Fightback to me in the past and therefore I contacted them. I am so happy that I did, Fightback took care of everything for me and offered me reassurance which was much needed. Fightback sent my renewal off immediately in July this year and on Xmas Eve I received the dreaded brown envelope, but what wonderful news I not only kept my enhanced Daily Living but they also awarded me Standard Mobility. I was not required to attend a face to face assessment. My award is till October 2020. The benefit system is a very scary place and I just think it’s so wonderful that Fightback is there to support people and they really care. I will definitely use Fightback in the future, thank you so very much, I could never even start to put into words the relief I feel that my PIP has been renewed. Can you please let me know how I can purchase from your Amazon wish list, I would like to get you a few things. Wishing you all the best.

I had a lot of problems with my PIP claim. The assessment company were a nightmare and I felt like a wreck. I asked Fightback for help and Sarah was assigned to support me. Sarah sat in on my home PIP assessment. She took notes and reassured me she’d keep supporting me after the assessment. I would have gone to pieces without her as I couldn’t bear losing my Motability car. I got a great result and have kept my car. I believe nobody should go through the PIP or ESA ordeal without Fightback helping, from completing the form until you get the decision you deserve.

I knew the forms were coming and did not know what I was going to do. I had seen Fightback on my Facebook page and thought it would be good to check them out, they seemed to care about disabilities and what people were going through. I thought they were to good to be true, little did I know they were going to change my life. The hard work and dedication to others, when they themselves fight with their own issues, is beyond any expectation anyone could receive. They took the stress away when filling in the forms. It was like having a conversation and finding the form finished while doing this. Please, do not pass this opportunity for help, it will change your life too. I should not forget Cat, who came to my home and advocated for me. Her kindness and empathy I will never forget. Thank you to all who give of their time and change so many lives.

Fightback4Justice helped me get from reduced PIP and no Daily Living Expenses to Enhanced on mobility and Enhanced Daily Living Expenses by the Judge who within 5/10 minutes of entering the Tribunal (they had already decided before we entered the room I believe) this was due to Cat at Fightback who had produced the submission forms for their attention! Without Fightback not sure if it would have been overturned, I very much doubt it, however, I am extremely grateful to Fightback and will URGE anyone who is going through a similar situation to ask Fightback for their professional help. They should receive an award for being the most helpful and polite people I have come across and they show they care about you… Well done Fightback4Justice another Assessment maybe for me in about 18 months, so I will be using Fightback4Justice at that time!

  • positive review  My son is autistic, and his p.i.p review came March 2021. Of course i was dreading it. We had only been to court 2 years ago, so the thought of the process all over again had me on edge. My son moved from dla to p.i.p in 2017, in 2018 we won tribunal with the help of fightback and minimal evidence as my son has refused most medical help as his condition gives him anxiety when ANY attention is put on him. So…Chloe completed our renewal form, a huge relief off ny head, so all that was left to do was just sit back and wait to be called in next year for p.i.p process all over again. This morning…. i recieved a phone call…stating his reward will remain the same….FOR 10 YEARS!!! I almost dropped the phone, i asked the lady if this was a prank, she laughed and said no. After making her repeat “10years” to me 3 times she finally explained why and that my decision letter will be in the post. i still wont believe it until i get that HORRIBLE brown envelope, but Chloe, you are a star. I cannot thank you enough, thats 10years of peace. Thank you

This really does take away the stress and the Fightback ladies are so lovely, helpful, caring and thorough. Thank you for all your help.

Feedback From Our Past Clients

Hi I’m so happy to write this.
I Was so nervous to apply for PIP and have wanted to for years but just couldn’t face it. But after your amazing work with my ESA and now my PIP forms (both done by Lucy) I received the letter today saying I’m getting Enhanced on both. Thank you again for being there and making this stressful process feel better. It’s heartwarming to know we have wonderful people like you fighting for us.

Thanks
Scott

I found fightback and they helped keep my sons award earlier in the year,My o.t wanted me to apply so I joined up for VIP membership and looked through the vault of well filled in forms relevant to my conditions,I filled in the form myself knowing if i needed help i could contact you, took me a little while, sent it off with hospital letters and relevant documents from my gp,I sent it in on 31st July recorded delivery & to be signed for then screenshot the signature & date when i knew it had got there,I received a couple of texts during August then today 4th September I received a letter telling me I was awarded enhanced on both for an ongoing period, they did say in the letter I had sent a lot of evidence to make their decision,I am overjoyed,I will be keeping my membership going so it may help others and will send a donation when i receive my payment thank you so much

Thanks so much to all of you for your help.
I’d submitted my UC WCA form in July 2021 before hearing about FB4J, but used the form checking service to see what I could send in as additional info to update the assessor on my current status.
7 months after sending my WCA form in I had my phone assessment date through so was very nervous after such a long wait.
Amy’s feedback on my form was very helpful in giving me advice on a few areas I could expand on.
A call from Karen helped calm and focus me the day before my phone assessment. The assessor was very professional and thorough during my call.
3 working days later, I’ve had my letter confirming I’ve been awarded LCWRA. Not sure how long the award is for or if any back pay is due, but I’m so relieved! Hopefully I can now start to rest properly and maybe recover some health without feeling pressured by the jobcentre. Thanks so much to the team for your help. I will definitely be recommending the service to others.

I just wanted to let you know that I sent off my PIP application in June and had used your VIP service to do a digital version of the form as I struggle to hold a pen and write. I also used VIP platform examples and guidance, and Syd checked it all for me before I sent it. Karen also supported in my phone assessment, and made sure I felt prepared and knew what to expect.
Today I’ve had a payment arrive in my bank account. I’ve got enhanced on both. I’m in absolute disbelief and so emotional. I 100% know that the reason this has happened is because of your support and guidance every step of the way. The process is tough, but it’s made easier by your incredible service. I’m so thankful to you! You’re all doing such amazing work, thank you xxx

Hi, thanks to your support and guidance I have been awarded contribution based ESA support group.
No face to face appointment or phone calls, they have done a paper based assessment.
Award has been back dated to the end of march. I applied for ESA at the end of June.
Had to back pay HMRC NI for 2 years but was worth it as I have gotten that amount back & more via ESA.

Without the guides & VIP email advice/check then I don’t think I woukd have had such a smooth experience getting ESA.

Thanks so much to all of you.

Hi. Haven’t reached out before but I signed up to the website when I received my pip review forms as I wanted to use the filled out examples on there. I did exactly that and received a letter yesterday saying I had sent enough evidence and filled the form in well enough they had managed to do a in-house assessment without even contacting me and have awarded me until nov 2026. I don’t think this would have happened without the help of the website as I wasn’t confident enough in my answers to their questions so just want to say a big thanks! The work you do for disabled people is absolutely amazing x

I just wanted to say thank you SO much for your PIP review form service and the factsheets/examples that you provide. Syd gave feedback on my completed PIP review before I sent it off, and I am thrilled to say that my award has not only been renewed without any further assessment, but it has also been more than doubled in length compared to last time.

It is such a relief – the transfer from my lifetime award of DLA to PIP for my Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis in 2017 was horrendous, with the DWP deciding to remove all support. That is, until Fightback appealed for me and I was ultimately successful in making a claim. Thank you so much for working your magic again – benefits like PIP really do make a massive difference to someone like me, who wants to get on and live as independent a life as possible in spite of their disability and the associated extra costs. The government are making this increasingly difficult to do and so your service really is a lifeline.

“ Thank you Syd!!
Got my white envelope today. Enhanced Both for 6 years.

(It was a PIP ‘Renewal’, but counted as a ‘new claim’ as I won at Tribunal last time.)

Used the ‘VIP Form Review Service’ and incorporated all the feedback Syd gave me to improve my application. It took 3 weeks from the DWP receiving my form to me receiving my award letter. Last time my application took 2.5 years!!
Shocked & stunned…..

This is the second time I have received help from Fightback.
A few years ago Michelle Advocated for me, with an Appeal to the Upper Tribunal, and attended with me, and supported me, with my (second) First Tier Tribunal where I received Enhanced Both for 5 years. Having Fightback on my side helped enormously.

Need a good cry now!
Thank-you Fightback xx”

Sorry I did try and do a Google review, but don’t have an account. So can I leave anon feedback please – thank you so much for all the support Fightback have given me and my family, after a long fight, we have finally been given middle rate care for my daughter, who had it removed by DWP 3.5 years ago, we managed to get a low award on appeal, but now on renewal we have got middle care rate until she is 16 (2.5 years award) . I had thought about giving up at times, but thankfully with Fightback’s help – we didn’t! They are brilliant and I would recommend!

Warm regards

Jenny

I have meant to email sooner. Just wanted to say a huge thank you. You looked over the MR I did and sent me some pointers and I went through all the information available in the VIP files. After sending everything off we received a phone call from the assessor to say she was looking at everything we had written and would have a decision later that day. She then called us back and he had gone from getting 2 points to enhanced care and standard mobility up to 2024.

I cant thank you enough for all the information that was made available, I wish I had contacted you earlier.

We had paid the monthly VIP charge and it was well worth it – we have kept this in payment. Keep up the good work.

Kind Regards

Dear Michelle

I am so grateful to you, and all at Fightback4Justice, for assisting me with my PIP appeal. If it hadn’t been for your advice and encouragement to go through with the appeal I would certainly have pulled out. I was appealing against the award of Standard Mobility which had been granted by the DWP and have now been awarded Enhanced Mobility until 2030. To say I am thrilled is an understatement and I put this all down to Michelle’s assistance.

Thank you once again.

Dear Amy and all at fightback4justice,
Just to update you on my son’s mandatory reconsideration:
From being assessed as scoring only 2 points initially For making budgeting decisions, we are pleased to feedback that David was awarded14 points in daily living and 12 points under planning and following a journey (this is the first time this difficulty has been recognised in support of him). This means he has been awarded enhanced PIP in both Daily Living and Enhanced until September 2023
I would have loved to have been a fly in the wall as we got a copy of the GP form she sent to PIP were it stated David was unable to go out alone and all his other issues, which was referred to incorrectly in their feedback for their assessment and we highlighted the discrepancies of this.
Additionally to this your feedback on how to set out David’s MR and other advice was invaluable, we cannot thank you enough for all your support. If you would like a copy of our David’s MR for you vaults we are more than happy to share it.
I will continue paying the VIP direct debit to enable your organisations work
Wishing you all a very happy and safe 2021
Kind regards

Lesley

I was just like to take this opportunity to acknowledge and give thanks to Fight Back for justice for their help & support in my PIP appeal. Fight back have helped me immensely during my Tribunal Appeal and worked extensively, factoring in the limitations in time, in line with the statement of reasons in correlation to a unfair decision. The team are very competent at what they do and extremely helpful. The legal team put a great emphasis on identifying imperative medical evidence that pertains to the facts that supersedes the subjective opinions of the DWP. The indisputable facts was self evident, which constituted an award being warranted.
Fightback worked diligently in the pursuit and acquisition of serving equitable justice. I would definitely recommend using there services, even if you feel disheartened with a unfair decision. We never gave up and remained patient in the face of adversity, subsequently we executed with resilience, mental fortitude, determination and velocity. I just wanted to show my gratitude for all you’re help and support during this long process, whereby eventually the decision was overturned by a tribunal judge and the correct award was eventually granted in my favour.
I cant Thank you guys enough, I really appreciate all you’re hard work.
Many Thanks

Lakhbir

Hi Karen & Amy,

I am amazed, but have received notification today that I have been awarded the enhanced rate for daily living and the enhanced rate for mobility for 10 years, to 2031.

Many thanks to you all for the help and assistance with the application. I really am surprised that I got anything at all after hearing of so many people being rejected.

best wishes,
Catherine

‘More good news after using our VIP factsheets and example review forms…with no assessment 🙂

Just want to say thank you I used your vip to do my pip review forms, they have kept my award at enhanced on both for 3 years minus a face to face, or telephone consultation or anything else, thank you so much, you are well and truly amazing xx

Hi There

I just wanted to send you a thank you and update on my son’s mandatory reconsideration.

I first applied for PIP for him in 2017 and he received enhanced daily living and standard mobility scoring 11e. I always felt he should have received 11f but didn’t at that time understand the mandatory reconsideration process and didn’t send a letter with my reasoning or any further supporting evidence. So the decision wasn’t changed.

Fast forward to November 2020 and I reapplied for him. This time we had a phone assessment which I took for him and his points on all daily living aspects were reduced though he stayed at the same rate for living and mobility as 2017. The whole assessment by the way was a farce! On planning a journey the assessor said that as he had no cognitive disability he would be able to learn how to use google maps. This is a young adult who even had a psychiatrist’s letter stating that it wouldn’t be safe to let him go anywhere unaccompanied due to the harm he could come to or harm to others if he was to become overwhelmed by sensory input.

So having heard about Fightback I requested a mandatory reconsideration again and with the help of your documents created a very detailed letter pointing out my supporting evidence and my reasoning as to why the points for given descriptors should be chnaged. Finally last month (yes it really has taken that long) I received a phone call to let me know that my son has been awarded enhanced daily living and enhanced mobility scoring 11f and for an ongoing period too as I argued that he presented with a consistent diagnosis that had not changed for many years.

I really can’t thank you enough for your help and the vast array of example reconsideration letters you share. They helped me tremendously. My son is diagnosed with autism, pathological demand avoidance, OCD and anxiety and I hope that others in a similar situation to my son are able to gain the same outcome with your help. I’m rather revved up now and have now also written a request to the DWP asking if he is going to be part of the LEAP review process given that most of the evidence I sent for this mandatory reconsideration was exactly the same as I sent them in 2017. Not holding my breath but if we don’t all start challenging the DWP nothing will change.

All the best and thank you again.
